Vitale picks Georgia to beat X

Postby Mr. Neutral » Sun Mar 16, 2008 8:10 pm

He went with UGA's momentum and toughness while acknowledging our talent and accomplishments.

He might be right. They did beat Miss., Miss. St., Kentucky and Arkansas this weekend, though those teams were 35-59 in the RPI.

Hubert Davis picks X as a possible Sweet 16 team.

Would not be the first time he was wrong.......didn't UGa need OT to beat a, at best, middle of the road UK team in their home state?? But I will give UGa credit for taking out Tennessee in the SEC Tourney....oh, that's right....

He's right about the Dawgs being hot, as I posted in antoher thread. Still, Vitale picking a big school from a BCS conference to beat a small school from a non-BCS conference?

Is that news?

He plays to his audience and that counts on numbers.

You don't usually see an SEC team seeded 14.I'm sure a lot of people will pick Ga.That might work to our favor.Could we still be an underdog as 3 seed?

georgia is the flavor of the month right now. they are media darlings. they're living on borrowed time.

if xavier(who should be more rested) plays the way they are capable it won't be a problem.

i also think that baylor or purdue are games in your favor. i even picked you to beat duke in my bracket.

ucla, if you meet them, that's a toughie.

And that makes us a cinch to win.
Dickie was last right when he said before the UNC-Duke game, "an ACC team will win....I think."

Yes, and Dickie Vitale also picked USC and O.J. Mayo to defeat Wisconsin in the 2nd round...
