Locked at a 3 seed???? What are you smoking? 4 at best, probably a 5. We didn't even make the championship game.

4?? 5?? I'll take it...X is playing like a ten, or at least lost to a ten twice in one week!

We didn't make the championship game in '03 either and got a 3 seed with a RPI of 20 and a SOS of 71.

This year we have a RPI of 9 and a SOS of 18.

This team still deserves a 3 seed.

Probably a 4 seed. The team hasn't seemed as motivated since playing in non conference. Could also be the league is even better then the RPI indicates. Did some of the young teams truly mature into solid teams? Is it more about the coaches having better strategies against teams they know giving even the subpar teams a chance at winning games?

XU can still win it all but they also might be one and done. Raymond needs to put the ball on the floor when he's missing everything.

Maybe someone has already mentioned this but the two teams X lost to in the regular season are in the conference finals. Have faith. This team will show a lot of heart come tourney time. I think it's what they've been waiting for since they won the regular season championship.

Muskie Fans,

1. Yes tonight was ugly
2. Yes we couldn't hit a 3 for the life of us.
3. Yes, we may lose a 3 seed spot, (i'm just as upset at you are, booked hotel in DC already)

BUT, THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.

Let's not throw the towel in on already on our beloved muskies, ask yourself?

1. Do you really think B.J. will miss 5 straight 3's again?
2. Do you reallly think Lav won't penetrate and dish to open guys again?
3. Do you really think Duncan won't hit a couple more screen and pop 3's???
4. Do you really think Sean won't have them ready for any opponent come next Thursday?

Yes. St Joes may have our number BUT, over the past 4 years there aren't many teams in the country that have better 1-game preparation than XU.
So I welcome the challenge that will come next Thursday, and I challenge all real XU fans to find a way to get to the game and root on YOUR MUSKIES!!!!!

Lets not get hung up in the loss ( or the 6 losses for that matter). How about the 27 wins, can we get hung up on those please?!?!

When is the last time we shot like that? This team is balanced and they play their best ball when their backs are to the wall( not the case in the A10 tourney as they know they are going to be at least a 4 seed in the Dance). I walked away from the TV several times last night because I had a hard time taking the mistakes and accepting the level of play that ST Joes was delivering. Lets go X!!!

You sir are not the Xband01 that I know.\\
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

You guys can't just say (off the cuff...) we're a 5 now! You have to consider that nearly every team surrounding X in the rankings also lost: Louisville, Purdue, Indiana, Vandy, Uconn, etc. To move us down even to a 4, you'd have to move up Butler, Drake, or have a team like Michigan State come all the way up from a projected 6 seed.
