Defense
Best Defense I've seen all year tonight. Hopefully we can keep up that intensity!

Re: Defense
Couldn't agree more. Stan's ability to play every possession with the defensive intensity with which he plays is astounding. I don't think people realize what that takes when they complain about his offensive production. Not that that was even a problem tonight!xumadman wrote:Best Defense I've seen all year tonight. Re: Defense
Stan is the Man. He has now shut down Eric Gordon, Sean Singletary, Brian Roberts, and Mo Rice when he guarded him. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but he is all about defensive pride right now. Great to see him get a smooth 13 tonight too.
One last point. The other guys played the screens very well tonight. Roberts couldn't even breathe.

Re: Defense
MOR, you are right. Stan has to be one of the best perimeter players in the nation, and the other guys really feed off that defensive intensity. It definitely showed tonight. By the way, throw Chris Lofton on that list as well.

god it sucks to be a flyer fan sometimes. it's like dating a hot chick that constantly cheats on you, but you're too dumb to walk away.

Don't forget Jackson. He had 4 steals & played w/ a ton of energy tonight. Best game I've seen him play by far. He had a great save on a ball going out of bounds at the end of the first half.

Don't forget Chris Lofton. Stanley is strong on the defensive end. The team around him is a big part of that, too.Masterofreality wrote:Stan is the Man. Re: Defense
ESPN2 guys calls Xavier a Kansas type team. Expects sweet 16 or better for X. 3 team bid for a-10
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
