Xavier Finally Makes AP Poll

I did not count down to see what the rank was but they did sneak into the "pack at the bottom" with 10 points. Was this their first appearance? I do not see the other poll yet. GW slipped from 13 to 19. Temple got 2 points.

Maybe people will start to realize what a good resume they have! I feel they deserve a bid even if they fall to Temple ... which we shall know shortly.

Just before the end of today's game, the ESPN2 commentator was opining that X's NCAA chances would be iffy at best without a win in the final. Thankfully, the women took it out of the committee's hands.

Yes I heard her say that too! And that is what I had been thinking even though we have an excellent resume. But indeed it is moot now. Now no need to sit all week and wonder ... we are in, baby! Way to go ladies!

Interesting thing I heard when the announcers were discussing how many A-10 teams were going. One went "out on a limb" said I thing certainly 2, and possibly 3 will go. This was before XU had finished off Temple. Think about it, DUH!!!! GW was a lock as a top 20 team, and whoever won the game got an auto bid,,again, DUH!!!
Sometimes those announcers speak way too much without thinking.

I heard that too and thought .... huh? ... the winner goes and GW is already in. So, duh! I think at one point they opined what whoever lost the game, whether X or Temple, would have a long week and I did agree with that. I do hope Temple gets in (for the sake of the conference). Not sure their resume is quite as strong as ours but they WERE regular season champions.
