With their big win over SBU last night, and Fordham losing to Richmond, the Dayton Flyers guaranteed that they would be one of the 12 teams to compete next week in the A-10 Championship Tournament. In fact, due to the tight records of the teams 2 through 13 in the conference, UD could, if things fall the right way, be the 5 seed.
Currently, they are the 8 seed and would play Rhode Island in the first round, but with a full slate of games Saturday, and a couple more tonight, teams could go up or down 6 spots.
St. Joe's, for example, is in the 5 spot today. But, there is one scenerio where they could be the 2 seed, and another scenerio where they could be the 8 seed.

UD's RPI is still at 35. If they can beat St. Joe on Saturday and win a couple of games in the A-10 tourney, they could possibly get an at large.

maybe the play-in-game!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Is the play-in-game in dayton again?
How funny would it be to see UD in that game

could i petition a move to change the name of this site to
musketeer&flyermadness.com?
i notice that ud basketball is discussed almost as much as x basketball, so it just seems like good common sense.
these threads are further evidence that you must consider ud as a fierce rival or you wouldn't C-O-N-S-T-A-N-T-L-Y
talk about them.

Yep, you're wrong again Joe.
Another ud fan bitching about threads on ud on a Xavier site, oh the irony.
There is no fierce rivalry, just the fact dayton and it's fans still think the programs is on par or dayton has passed Xavier. It makes for entertaining discussions.

Joe, in case you haven't noticed, almost every thread is dripping with sarcasm. UD is nothing more than comic relief over here.

Yeah Joey, we are all excited about your dayton flyers getting to play in the play-in-game. We light a candle every night just so you get that chance.

I would agree that way too many people on this board discuss Dayton. Does that mean though that they are a rivalry? X has beaten Dayton the last 15 of 18 times. LaSalle, St. Bon, St, Louis, St. Joes, RI, Duquesne, Umass all have better winning percentages vs X. Dayton is no rivalry. If talking about them, make it a rivalry, then I guess they are in some X fans heads. For Gods sake, UD hasn't won a tourney game in 19 years. They are really a non-event.
By the way, you joined on January 23rd and have posted 90 times. Are you obsessed with X? That's over 2 posts per day. Remember, you are not a man of your word. You say you root for X but previous posts prove otherwise. You say you only stay on the board because one person said you could. However, most are telling you to move on. Go post on Wright State's board. You are a phony. Your team is a non-event. Please don't reply to this because 91 posts is just 91 too many. I know you will say that you are only posting because someone said you could. Bull-crap. You will never leave for that one chance that UD may beat X or win a tourney game. Guess we'll all hear from you twice tomorrow. Go root for St. Joes.
