Is Xavier overrated?

Do we really think that X could beat Kansas, UCLA, GTown or even Louisville?

I do. Those would be tough games for sure, but as long as everyone is healthy, XU has proven that they can be great this year. Interestingly, the two teams I would fear most from a matchup standpoint for XU are two on your list, UCLA and Kansas. I don't even worry about North Carolina or Duke, if XU draws one of those teams at some point, I expect them to win.

Jim Lowery is right - this is sad. Borderline pathetic, actually. It's one thing to get frstrated about the way your team is playing and develop a sinking feeling that an early exit from the tournament looms. But to start pondering whether Xavier is overrated merely suggests you don't pay attention to any other team in the NCAA than the Muskies or who they are playing that day.

There have been numerous articles and lengthy discussions about what it takes to put together a deep post-season run and it's widely believed that Xavier has the composition of a contender. Not a Sweet 16 Contender, but a Final Four contender. After that, anything is possible.

I'm not promising that X makes it out of the second round, but by no means has the thought ever crossed my mind that they are overrated.

Relax - and enjoy instead of worrying so much - you're beginning to sound like Big Rocco.

Great. X is having one of its best seasons ever and the topic in this thread asks whether, or not the team is overrated. You know what Theo, you are overrated. Overrated at having any kind of common sense. Good God! Revel in the moment everyone. Some of you are never happy. Live for now, your team is 25-4, in the Top 10 of everyone's polls, getting great press and some of you are worried that we X is overrated? Is that the best you can do? Give me a freaking break!!! Poor muskieman is left to counterpunch all of the spew coming from these Einstein's who call themselves Xaver men's basketball fans. Keep up to good fight mm.
