Mark Eaton's Son

Postby ocatli » Wed Jan 23, 2008 8:49 am

Any more news on his son Drex considering XU? Guess he's already 7-1 and just a soph playing HS ball in Salt Lake. He's dad was a force at Utah. -Mustard

While I agree w/ the old, "You can't teach height", just because his son is 7'1" doesn't mean the kids is any good. I don't recall Eaton doing much else besides blocking shots in his NBA career.

But.....he had an NBA career. If his son is close, we could probably use that presence in the paint!

He's 7ft+ and still growing. Plus, his name is Drex! Could you imagine Drex Eaton at the Cintas Center with a huge beard? How many 7 footers has X had in the last century? You can't pass on a guy like that. Just because he looks like a hilljack doesn't mean we should pass. For the love of god! -Johnny Drama

Now there's a name from the past. He was 7'0" tall and averaged ten points a game playing what was then AA basketball. Someone told me that Tay Baker gave him a scholarship without ever seeing him play.

Does this board have an "ignore " function where certain people's posts will not appear on my screen?

Has anyone even checked this guy on any of the recruiting sites. This was posted earlier this morning and not one person has verified any validity to his game! I know ocatli is very good about talking about recruits in the Chicago area but I would like to know how he found out about this guy. By the way ocatli, I did see Clyde's son play while I was in Dallas. Damn good player and we would be lucky to snatch him.
