One Bid League?
St.Joes loses at home to St.Louis.I'm starting to think if X wins the tournament that the A10 will only get one team in.That would be very disappointing for this league.

Re: One Bid League?
Based on current RPIs, X is a lock (duh), UD and UMass would be in (but barely, and no way UD's getting in with a losing conf. record), and SJU and URI would be out.
The A-10 was one of the more talked-about conferences just a few weeks ago due to its surprising strength. On Selection Sunday, we might also be one of the most talked-about conferences due to so many teams fading down the stretch.

Re: One Bid League?
I still think 3, though this (SLU over SJU) loss really sets the A-10 back.
If X wins, SJU and UMass should make it if they both make the semis. UMass would do well to make it in the finals in that situation, but I think a Semis appearance and close loss should be enough to make it in.
URI needs to make the finals to at least be considered. Dayton needs to win it to be in.
(Outside chance, but if Temple finishes their final 3 games well they could be a force in the Tourney but that's a real long shot)

Re: One Bid League?
The A-10 might just be that good from top to bottom. Everybody went out and beat up on every conference and now they are just beating up on each other. The A-10 isn't weak I think they are just that good. We don't have just 4 teams that dominate, We got 8 to 9 teams that are very good. As long as Xavier gets that #2 seed and makes the final 4 who the hell cares.

Don't expect that to be validated on Selection Sunday the way things have gone in the last few weeks.

Let's start by beating GW on Saturday.10-20-30 wrote:if x beat st j and wins the tourny umass is on the bubble...2 at best
I still feel strongly that we need to take it one game at a time. No game is a given. I think a lot of the team's success this year is focusing on the game at hand and personally will follow their lead.
It's just what somebody thinks ...

X is the big prize for the A10 bubbles to bag. A win over the #6 rpi team is a nice resume booster. St. J's might get 2 shots at the the big kill. The others have to hope for a shot in the A10 tourney.

Re: One Bid League?
I think Lunardi just answered some of these questions, 2 teams from the A-10. XU at a 2 and UMASS as an 11. St. Joe's is one of the last four out.
