I guess I'll give The Scare credit for being so loyal to a team that's been blowing chunks with corn in it for the past 6 weeks, 'er 18 years.

The March Begins... The Red Scare
Not to kick em' when they're down, but they're the ones responsible for publically posting this on the web. This shows the beginning of their March to UD Arena yesterday.

I think the UD team did listen to the "Go Dayton Flyers" cheer. Unfortunately the only place they went is right down the ol' crapper.
I hope no Muskie fan ever puts anything this lame out there for public viewing.

I like the irony of the post after Sunday, but I like the spirit of these students. It should never be embarassing to support your team and have fun doing it.
Whatever quibbles I have with Dayton maniacs, I give them full credit for entusiastically supporting their team. Would our students and fans were as unified and loud. Not that we are bad, but we still have a ways to go in the Tas to match the support in the Arena. It's coming, but its not there yet.

I like to think we (ie, our students) could come up with something better than that. As for Dayton fans supposedly showing more support for their team than X, I say bullsh!t.Fan support built Cintas.Fan support is paying seat licenses in mulit-year commitments. X fans have been supportive of the program through how many coaching changes over the years? What is the average attendance for games since the Cintas opened and prior to that at the Gardens? I realy don't think we take second place to UD in fan support for our team.

I think that they ought to print some new shirts after Xavier has beat them 5 times in a row. Instead of "Red Scare," howabout "Scared Straight."

I have always like
Beating dayton
A Xavier tradition

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: The March Begins... The Red Scare
The Dayton Chapter of Xavier alums designed that slogan, "Beating Dayton, A Xavier Tradition". It was originally going to say "Beat Dayton, A Xavier Tradition" until I pointed out grammatically it should read "Beating" versus "Beat". Nothing worse than going to print with a bunch of t-shirts with a grammatical error across your chest. Someone at UD would have probably spotted it and poked fun at us...
