Anthony Davis - Jalen Reynolds
Before I start, I know I am bias, but if you watch each player on Youtube I think they are very similar. Anthony(the price is right) Davis and Jalen are about the same size and have good ball skills. Davis blew up this spring as a senior. Jalen got many offers after the spring and summer evaluation period. Jalen has a whole year to hone his skills and should be right there with Davis by next year. The big Ten schools may have cooled on Jalen because of not yet being qualified (as Mr. N. article pointed out) and backed off some. I, for one, are GLAD they did. Another poster said that he will end up being a top 100 by next year. He could be another diamond in the rough ala David West. Go Xavier!

Like his attitude already, said he will get Xavier to a Final Four, write it down. I mean Kenny said the same and he still has 2 years to do it and I think the next 2 years could be special for the Xavier program. I really like Reynolds, great size & wingspan, can shoot from any range, nice bounce to his step, going to be a great shot blocker&rebounder, and seems like a great kid that wants to win.

I would love to see JR turn into David West deuce but he will have to put up more than 47 against the cryers.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Muskieman - I would like to see that to but even Crawford high point total was in the low thirties. It seems like ALL the better teams in college go for the more balanced scoring rather then the BIG scorer. He may not be as good as West but how many players from XU have been. I just like the way Jalen comes off his man for a block but also can block his man one on one. He looks like he can block shots with either hand and his wing span is awesome. He has good range on his shot and is a very good rebounder. It is a great way to end the 2011 recruiting class and with Travis we will have another four players who will make great contributions. Go Xavier!

Re: Anthony Davis - Jalen Reynolds
I was impressed by A. Davis the first time I saw him on film a couple of months ago. I am not a bit surprised that he has hit the big time.
I also, was impressed by the film I saw of J. Reynolds. Both guys are athletic, quick, have long arms, and shoot it from decent range. Both block shots and both run the floor well.
The problem with comparing them is, that we don't know the level of competition they were playing against when they were filmed and we have no idea whether what we are seeing is the norm or not . My guess is that it is not. After all, these are highlights, not averagelights.
Only time will tell whether A.D. is better than J.R.
Personally, I am happy with the acquisition of Jalen Reynolds by Xavier. Now, let's get him eligible.
GO MUSKIES!

seems like when players move from school to school the eligiblity bug aways seem to raise its head. Just don't want this kid to be ineligible for his 1st year.Benxman wrote:I was impressed by A.
