Rhode Island is now 6-7 in the conference after losing to St. Joes today. They have lost 4 straight games and now playing themselves out of an at large bid.
They should win out playing GW, Lasalle, and Charlotte. It would seem that URI would have to make a decent run in the A10 tournament to have a chance.
Is Rhode Island done?

Seems as if the A-10 at large candidates change on a daily basis.
UMass is good shape. I can almost gurantee they are going at this point.
St Joes looks to be moving forward once again.
Rhody would the 4th team in from the leauge, if they took that many.

Re: Is Rhode Island done?
St. Joe's RPI went from 52 to 42 with this win. So now they're back in the hunt.
Rhode Island's RPI dropped from 42 to 57 with this loss. That is hard to believe but that's what realtimerpi says. So RI has now played themselves out of the tourney. It looks like they've got some work to do.

The only lock right now is X.
If selection Sunday were today, St. Joe and Umass would be on the bubble and URI would be out.
Look for St. Joe's to do enough between now and then. Umass and URI are serious question marks.

X will continue to take everybody's best shot, whatever that may be, i.e. @ St. Joe's. and thru Mar 12-15bleedXblue wrote:The only lock right now is X.

Could Dayton still get a look if they could win out, go 8-8 and then lose to us late in the tournament?

Re: Is Rhode Island done?
If they lose one more game in A-10 regular season, they can sign up for the new CBI tourney now unless they with the A10 championship but why talk about a team that i 5-8 in the league. Richmond and Duquesne has more or as good a chance as UD right now.huddleup1487 wrote:Could Dayton still get a look if they could win out, go 8-8 and then lose to us late in the tournament?

Re: Is Rhode Island done?
dayton has two on the road where we all know they are weak and one at home against St Joes. I don't think the way they are playing they will win out.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
