....I am very proud of the way Kevin McGuff has taken what Balcomb started and made the basketball at Xavier a 1-2 punch....The women are a team to be reckoned with.....Nothing like tourney cash from both programs.....Gotta like it....

Way to give the women a shout-out..I think they're at the top of the A10 as well. They have a freshman who has 15 double-doubles.

You may recall when they won the A10 tourney at Cintas last year, several of the men's players ran onto the court to celebrate with the women.

By the numbers, they may still have some work to do.

As of last Sunday (2/17), Jerry Palm has X in as a 10 seed, but they're #52 in the RPI, with two "good" (RPI 25-50) wins, over Temple & Georgia, and one "bad" (RPI 100+) loss, to UC.

Their last 3 games are against #222 LaSalle, #65 Dayto, and #116 SBU, so I'm not sure how much margin for error they have.

He's got #23 GW in as a 5 seed, but #46 Temple not in. All 3 teams are tied for 1st in the A-10 at 9-2. So, the women have to keep playing like the team that's won 9 of its last 10.
