Re: Redford on youtube...
He's clearly a scorer against his level of competition, but will he be a Travis Diener or Damon Bailey? He's not playing against LA/NY/Chicago-level high school talent in those videos.
I hope the kid brings a dimension to X that we don't currently have-the long range gunner, but we'll have to see how he does against faster, stronger, taller players at the next level.

HOLY CRAP!! Thanks for the video flint.
Anyone who thinks Redford is just a spot up shooter is sorely mistaken! He has unlimited range and can get his shot off in a nanosecond.
Check out the 3 minute mark....27 footer - nuthin' but net!
Unbelievable!

wow...that's RANGE. Honestly, I don't see how he won't be an effective player when he comes here...may take a year or two, but he's gonna be dangerous. We develop players.

I'll take deiner or Bailey. Kid can flat shoot it. Lyons will get him the ball with his feet set ready to launch. Can he d'up? I'll trust Miller on that one.Mr. Neutral wrote:He's clearly a scorer against his level of competition, but will he be a Travis Diener or Damon Bailey? He obviously won't be bothered by the 3 pt line being moved back. Those were NBA range shots! If you can shoot like that it doesn't matter who the competition is.Could be a JJ Redick type(although I couldn't stand him)

Re: Redford on youtube...
One of those teams that he was lighting up was Flint Southwestern academy, a team that went to the final four in Michigan last year. Southwestern would have a chance to go back this year had they not lost the top point guard in Michigan to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.Mr. Neutral wrote:He's clearly a scorer against his level of competition, but will he be a Travis Diener or Damon Bailey? Redford lit Southwestern up for 39 points last year and 46 this year.

How's his defense? His numbers are going to depend on how much effort on the defensive end under Miller's mantra.
