Do these early predictions ever really pan out? I've never thought to compare these February predictions with the actual pairings.

Lunardi is usually dead on when it comes to Bracketology, if you click on Xavier in the bracket it will tell you about why he is seeding each team the way he does.
XAVIER
The Musketeers enjoy a commanding two-game lead in the Atlantic 10 after Sunday's narrow win over Saint Joseph's. Xavier has won 12 of 13 overall.
Why seeded here?
The Musketeers are inching toward a No. 2 seed.
May change because:
Three of the next four are serious road tests (@Charlotte, @Rhode Island and @Dayton).
Good Wins
RPI 1-25: Dayton, @Massachusetts
RPI 26-50: N-Indiana, N-Kansas State, Saint Joseph's
Bad Losses
RPI 101-200: none
RPI 201+: none

I love seeing XU predicted as a 3 but personally, I do not want to have to see Xavier go up against the 7'7" behemoth that is Kenny George. Root for someone besides UNC-Asheville against XU!

Re: Bracketology as of 2/11
Living in NC, I saw him going up against UNC. Being 7'7 and going to NC-Asheville should be the first clue. He is not the most athletic big man I've ever seen. He is also lazy getting down the court, which could lead to a lot of points if we are playing fast. Still, he is tall, and that can trump alot of things. I would rather play someone else as well. In terms of this translating to our final seed, I Joe is pretty good about predicting where people will be if they play the way they should. He is saying as long as we win a good amount of the rest of our games, we will be a 3. I think we have to win the league though.

Win out and win the A10 tournament, could we get a 1? I'm guessing a 2. I think we could lose 1 more and win the A10 tourney and still get a 2 seed.

Re: Bracketology as of 2/11
We would need way to much help to get a 1, with a couple of losses by the 1's right now. Realisticly, we probably only have a chance at a 2 if we can move up in the polls.

Re: Bracketology as of 2/11
I think a 2 is the best XU will get, I think if XU has only one loss and wins the A10 tourney it is something attainable. Let's just hope with a 3 we don't end up in a bracket that meets up with a "6" (Maryland a few years back).
