With the win today, Xavier continues its streak of non-losing conference records for a record 25 consecutive years. No other D1 team can say that. Every other D1 team that has been D1 for the last 25 years has experienced at least 1 losing conference season.
X has had a few .500 seasons, but has not had a losing conference record since the 81-82 season.
Duke, UNC, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Louisville, all of them have had a losing conference season in the last 25 years.
X has not. Just one more thing to be proud of.

I was thinking the same thing, but will go with a little of both.
Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

Agreed to some degree, but that doesn't explain why no team from any of the weak conferences has done it, nor have any of the power teams as well.......X is in a class all by itself.

Re: The Streak Continues....
We probably wouldn't have done it in a stronger conference, but that doesn't make it any less of an accomplishment. We are not a school that can usually completely reload like a Duke team, yet they still haven't done it. I think it is a testament to how this program has grown, and how good of a team we have been over the past 25 years.
