Dayton Loses
Just finished watching the Dayton/GW game. Always great to see the Criers lose especially with GW bombing a 3 with 2 seconds left to win it. Their chances of getting an at large bid are getting slimmer and slimmer by the game. What a great day it is.

Actually, it would be much better for the conference to have had Dayton win that game, keep winning (except for our game up there) and get to the NCAA Tournament.sergiogarcia wrote:Just finished watching the Dayton/GW game. It has somthing to do with the obvious:
- $'s
- conference respect
- conference exposure
That UD loss was a bad outcome.

Xudash, while I can absolutely appreciate your viewpoint on the "Dayton being good is good for the A-10" argument, I just can't support it. In my book, every day Dayton loses is a good day...I've had lots of good days since I was born in 1981, about a week before the last time that sorry program beat us in Cincinnati. I think joeybaloney is crying in his trailer tonight.

Re: Dayton Loses
I remember a few years ago GW stole the ball (Pittock maybe), made a layup as the buzzer rang and ran directly into the locker room.
When ud was something like 10-1 I said that they would not make the NCAA. Currently, they are in the same kind of meltdown that they had last year. With a losing record in the league and losing late in the year, the wins against UL and Pitt cannot save them. Only winning now can save them. They are NIT at best.

Even as a fellow Jacskonvillian, I have to respectfully disagree. Imagine this scenario for a moment. Dayton starts to make the tourney on a regular basis/conf titles. They become a power /pseudo power in the league. I'm OK with this scenario for anyone else in the league except UD. They are 50 minutes away and Dayton is a VERY fertile recruiting ground. That ground would dry up almost completely if UD became more prominent. Would there have been "The Run" to the Elite 8 without Dayton native Romain Sato? How about no Derrick Brown (Dayton native and tip in hero from the other day, most talented player on our roster) The 2010 class has two guys from Dayton that are absolutely at the top of Millers recruiting board(Juwan Staten top 60 PG Adrien Payne Top 75 F) Staten has been to 4-5 X games this year, but has also attended some UD games as well. It supposedly will come down to X and UD. Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program and we have a rival right down the street to contend withxudash wrote:Actually, it would be much better for the conference to have had Dayton win that game, keep winning (except for our game up there) and get to the NCAA Tournament.sergiogarcia wrote:Just finished watching the Dayton/GW game. Also, if there is a conference realignment, we most likely will be in direct competition for Dayton for one priceless spot in some sort of super catholic bball conf.
And I really dislike most UD fans.
Hows Timaquana looking these days. Didn't they redo the greens/some reconstruction of some sort in the last year or two? One of the handful of courses I have yet to play in Jville.

Re: Dayton Loses
If u dump would go to the Dance, they would be an abject embarrassment to the league again, just like they were when they played that horriffic game against DePuke a few years ago.
Better to wash the crap out now, rather than allow it to flow through and do something comical on the national stage.
If they were good enough, they'd earn it and win games. If they can't earn it, they don't deserve it.

You changed my mind, and I believe I should do a penalty shot for having taken my prior position on UD.
With that being the case, is your ******1215 hotmail email address still good? I'll email you to confirm the arrangements. How about the 22nd or 23rd for TCC? I feel badly because we we tried to do this a long time ago and didn't get it done. The penalty shot will give us a chance to fix that. Let me know at your convenience.

Re: Dayton Loses
As much as UD fans miss Chris Wright I believe they played UL without Caracter and David Padgett. UD if they played UL tonight like Georgetown did has no chance against UL.
