I think it's pretty obvious that we need to get some rebounders and guys who play defense for next years team. Our team is made up of a lot of offensive minded three point shooters. Trying to outscore people with a token defense is a hard way to go. All too often the guards run under screens and give up wide open shots. We are very poor at tracking long rebounds. We almost never dive on the floor for the ball.
I think we need a strong center who can rebound and defend. We also need a Power forward who can score , rebound and score underneath the basket
I think we are set at small forward with Filip if he comes back and Pozzato.
At the guard position I am not sure if Moore is coming back or if he is a senior. Moore is a very talented shooter and passer however is worse than Milicevic's at playing defense . That is saying something. Wright to me is a one trick pony. A good OPEN three point shooter but does move enough or have the athleticism to get open. He is a below average passer, rebounder and defender. Not a starter in my mind. I love the energy and explosion Anderson plays with I am excited for the freshman guards coming in. I think if we come back next year with Wright, Moore, Filip and Jovan as your core guys we are in a lot of trouble. We need some muscle and grit sprinkled in .

Re: Next year
Moore doesn't have any eligibility yet. It would be nice if some of these older players could step up and when a game for us.

Re: Next year
Give me a couple of above-the-rim players who know how to play D. A New York point guard who can run a team and score in crunch time from the three, the line, and at the rim and one.
I hope Pozzato, if he is a volume scorer, comes back. Jovan is really a Power forward playing out of position, so I hope they find a way to play him at his position. Bigs take time, so Robinson and Pape, I give a pass and hope that if they stay, someone sends them to big man camp.
Filip, if he gets another year, maybe! When he is good, he is very good, but when he is bad, well, we get some rebounds and assists.
James Posey, Derrick Brown, or a player who was a point guard but grew a foot and a half in his senior year
I wonder what our freshman named, Kason is doing. I hope the weight coach is building a monster, and our skills coach is a magician
As for Mier Panoam, I hoped that the cold weather might wake him up, but talk about a short leash in 7 games only 5.6 minutes and Iknow most were walk on time

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Next year
I've heard good things about Westphal and I don't believe they plans for him to play this year. I still don't think that Pape is a BE player, and not sure about ARob. ARob seems to be valuable against St Johns and UConn.

Re: Next year
A good reason to keep him. If he can play well against the best teams, then what the coaches need to do is convince him he can do even greater things against lesser teams, starting today against Butler.
but wondered if it was a spring
I had heard good things about Westphal, but I wonder if it is like spring training vibes that everybody is better than they ever have been
