I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Shaheen in his radio interview:

“We just didn’t have it. It’s disappointing after obviously a big game on Wednesday. Our guys just were satisfied."

“This is an old-fashioned butt-kicking. We didn’t put our best foot forward and we came out and we got our butts kicked period

During the game the commentators mentioned that Q. Olivari's main motivation for coming to Xavier is to play in the NCAA tournament.

Let's hope he gets enough help to get that opportunity. Because he is already one of the best shooters X has ever had. Lethal.

Unique experience- watched The Hall gm from a Madrid sports bar. Visiting a daughter studying over here. Needed my daughter to speak to bartender to find FS1 on their satellite. Thank goodness we are not in the MCC anymore! My take, still trending towards trouble when Quincy cannot hit some 3’s, ala St. John’s. But then TO’s were just as much to blame. Really liked the improved and more physical D vs SH. Dayvion gaining BE level confidence. Abou also, hopefully not an aberration. Sasa, well thank the Lord. He has miles to go but at least can rebound and be somewhat physical on D which is more than we anticipated as a true Frosh. Big win. Imagine the opposite…. Miles to go before we sleep, but one brick at a time. In Sean we trust. Merry Christmas Muskie Nation

Great game by Xavier. The effort was there almost the entire game. A bit of a lapse just before the half, which has happened a number of times this season.

Thank you Claude for not shooting any 3s. I'll consider it a very good game for Claude simply because he didn't waste possessions shooting from deep and did a nice job finding teammates.

McKnight didn't shoot especially well but connected on his outside shots and had another amazing game setting guys up to score.

Olivari is ballin at a high level. He didn't get his opportunities in the prior game but that is smart basketball to not force the action when you don't have the shot. Teammates need to step it up in those situations. Energy and defense tend to generate opportunities and Xavier had neither in the St Johns game. This was the exact opposite and is the only way this team has a shot at winning enough games to make the tournament.

Ousmane also had a great game. He has skills. His shots are a bit unusual but when he is in rhythm he tends to make them. He consistently rebounds well and generally plays decent positional defense. He is prone to making a dumb decision or 2 each game that leads to unnecessary fouls, etc. but he is a capable asset.

Xavier has just enough talent to win games in the BE but they need to consistently get after it on defense and limit the careless turnovers and bad shots. Generally falling short in either of those areas and they will lose to just about everyone in conference most games.

When Ousmane makes those couple of mistakes a game I call those Abou Boos

So if they are playing well they win and if they don't play well. Epiphany
