No one can guard 5'9" Bynum, who already is 4 pts above his avg in points, and X has a bull dog in Odom who is their best defensive guard, but played precious few minutes. Nunge carrying X again, and Scruggs finally playing better. You never know which Scruggs you'll get from game to game, half to half, minute to minute.

I like it when Steele mixces man with zone because their defense has been sliding. However, when the 2-3 isn't working, perhaps try a 1-3-1? Just once? To humor Edgecliff and me? Please?

Xavier has 6 O rebounds and that might seem good but shooting 33% means there are plenty of opportunities and unless they pick up the scoring average X needs more O rebounds

X is also benefitting from Providence missing their best 3 point shooter and third leading scorer in Reaves. Nice start by Free, and Scruggs takes a high IQ step back three. 7 more negative plays and he will see some pine.

X just doesn't make it tough for Providence to score. They get the score to 3 or 4 and next thing it is at 10 for Providence
