Creighton hangs 20 point loss on Nova
Held Nova to 33% from the field and 17% from the threes(4-23) and outrebounded 41-29. I wonder why Wright didn't tell them to stop shooting from the threes, as I channel a few X fans.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

It was a total beat down. Nova might be down a little this year. However, the bad news is we are their next game and at their place. I doubt they will be in a good mood.

The opportunity to hang an L at their place this year should be motivation. Nova has played some tough teams with minimal success and this maybe the year to be the regular-season champs again.

Re: Creighton hangs 20 point loss on Nova
I watched the bulk of this game and Nova is very beatable. Baylor indicates that they are struggling offensively (yes I know they play great defense but that score is beyond great defense unless Nova is actually bad). I would not assume that will continue all year. At some point they may start hitting shots. X needs to get after it on defense to make it hard for them to find a rhythm.
Creighton looked good. Not going to be an easy win. Sucks they lost by 1 in a non conference game. Sounded as though they got hosed on some calls late in the game. Too bad that doesn't matter to any computer rankings.

Mmam,
You've won more "obtuse posts of the week" on this Board than any other poster. Share the wealth. Until the last two games, Nova was one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country. Two bad shooting games didn't change that. I also doubt he lets horrible three-point shooters have the green light year after year. Although close, I think his record as the coach of one of the three most successful programs in cbb since the inception of the new BE leaves him just a tad more immunity to criticism than X's incumbent.
TS is starting to do a really good job. However, a T-Rex size strategic deficit of giving a green light with threes to anyone with a pulse is still his Achilles Heel. Byron laments this frequently, though with great subtlety, kind of like me. Hunter made two treys last game, but I remember Goodin hitting six in a game as well. I think Hunter should take some, but four is too many unless X has a 43-point lead. Yes, I dropped the deficit by 3 because he is shooting fewer treys, though he is still shoots some that has caused Fox Sports to put in a 7-second delay because of how offensive it is to good basketball shooters who watch X's games. Love every other part of his game though.
What's next: Zags will have 15+ turnovers in consecutive games and you'll say our beloved posters should see this ain't a bad thing either?

your misunderstanding of comments is epic but why should I be surprised.Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 3:01 pmMmam,
