KYKY in the game along with Big Ben. AH and Sky with smiles on their face.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

After shooting fourteen shots in the Shootout (all good shots), Nunge only shoots four times tonight (3/4), when he clearly had ample opportunities to look for his offense more. You're right. How do we get more like him?

Nunge might be the most complete true center X has had. Possibly some guys before my time?
D West was obviously great but possibly not a true center.

Thanks to Mr. Steele for going out and finding players like Jack.

this was the only part of the game i didn't like. came out in the 2nd half and MSU was like "we are NOT going away" and Xavier didn't match their intensity at all. Actually, it was literally 3 straight turnovers by Freemantle to start the 2nd half on lazy a$$ passes that turned into immediate buckets.
otherwise, pretty solid game.

and Travis responded by changing out the five that started the second half. When they returned they were in a better mindset and really played some D. BTW Zach had only 2 TOs the entire game. He did have a couple missed bunnies with some TOs from others mixed in and Zach did get beat by their big guy and Cooper on two layupslongliveskip wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 9:10 amthis was the only part of the game i didn't like. came out in the 2nd half and MSU was like "we are NOT going away" and Xavier didn't match their intensity at all. Re: Morehead St thread
one downer in the game was Kyky not having much success with a missed shot and a turnover. I had hoped he would make a couple 2 point shots by driving to the basket or getting a rebound with an assist or two.

Re: Morehead St thread
Zach needs to quit complaining to the refs on every single call that and his poor interior defense will not bode well in BE. KyKy looked disinterested and a step slow. The big for Morehead was too much for Zach.

Re: Morehead St thread
my anonymous source on KyKy - as i asked during the Morehead State game "Why doesn't he get SOME minutes during the game?"
his response was - he doesn't really work as hard as he should/could at practice. not saying he's lazy, but he doesn't separate himself from the others like he could. he said he's just happy with all the benefits that come from being a Xavier basketball player.
that's what i was told. take it for what it's worth. no idea if that's the whole story or not. i'm guessing it's not.
