I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Tyrell Ward
Great get! An athletic wing who can slash and defend multiple positions was their greatest need. I hope all the negative nellies who continually ride Coach Steele find their way back onto the band wagon. Yes, his coaching chops are still unproven, but I prefer to focus on the positive, as he is bringing in high caliber talent. Hopefully, our extended absence from the Tourney ends this year.

Can he guard the 4 because that has been a major issue the last couple seasons. Nice recruit, now we need a true big and a PG. Luckily im sure he got some high level coaching at DeMatha

Re: Tyrell Ward
haven't seen any bigs on the radar but i don't follow the recruiting trail very well. Sean Jones seems to be the PG they covet and he looks legit from what i've seen. not tall, but quick, handles it well, defends really hard.

Re: Tyrell Ward
Our best bet for a big appears to be 6'9" Noah Clowney out of South Carolina, according to 247Sports. We are listed as "warm" along with South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Indiana.longliveskip wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 8:19 amhaven't seen any bigs on the radar but i don't follow the recruiting trail very well. Xavier always goes to the NCAA tournament, and almost always makes some noise while there. Projecting anything less than that this season feels like folly--Eamonn Brennan (ESPN Summer Shootaround, 2012)

Re: Tyrell Ward
PG is a need? Did I miss Odom hitting the transfer portal? Hops, I wish just once, you could post a purely positive take. I think you need to mimic the writing stylings of Edgecliff, who, likes yours truly, always manages to turn mangos into lemonade.
