Xavier vs. Tennessee Tech thread
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

for the sake of some on this board, i hope we don't turn it over at all, don't give up more than 40 points, score 100, make every layup, and don't make one bad decision at all in regards to shot selection.
if the Muskies do all that, they and everyone on here should be fine.
let's go.

Re: Xavier vs. Tennessee Tech thread
Hi folks, made an account years ago but never got around to posting. This seems like a fun time to jump in the convo!
At least according to Kenpom, TNT will be one of the weakest teams we play all year, if not the weakest. I hope that coach Steele gives Miles and Griffin some significant playing time tonight because they've shown promise and they will very much be needed when BE play kicks off.
Also, I get the sense that Mr. Scruggs is confused as to what role he has on this team. Is he a little a little surprised that KyKy and Dwon are so good and feels threatened? Just feels like he doesn't mesh with them as well as they mesh with each other. Or is this another example of Travis mismanaging his talent?
Feel free to roast me if these are some bad takes.

Re: Xavier vs. Tennessee Tech thread
So we are only allowed to say what longliveskip wants us to say? If it wasn’t for Johnson we would have gotten beat by EKU? That is reason to be objective and discussed concerns for a team that could miss their third straight NCAA tourney. I guess I just have higher standards than some on this message board. EKU beat us on offensive glass by 10 and we had 25 turnovers and mainly won because our senior guard fouled out and our grad transfer bailed us out. Steele needs to get Miles and Griffin involved tonight because we will need him. I did like Scruggs dance moves late game on Monday.

Our guys play in arenas that have walls, and those walls have to be guarded by guards, forwards, and centers. Who's gonna defend the other team’s best player? You? You, LLS? As a moderator, I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for EKU, and you curse the moderators. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that my faint criticism, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on this board -- you need me on this board.
We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty,” “ball security”, and “defense.” We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very insightful analysis that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.
I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you open your eyes and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!
Ok, let’s win one for the gipper!

Excellent 1st take. I think Scruggs will be fine . He has always been a little out of control, but he has a very good midrange game. Remember my friend LLS’ caution that when you play the murderer’s row X has to date, just escaping with the W is the only goal. Don’t be surprised if a $3.00 Dunkin Donuts gift card appears in your mailbox .XU_2011 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 12:24 pmHi folks, made an account years ago but never got around to posting. You do know what they call a team that wins every game by one point, right?Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:36 pmExcellent 1st take. I think Scruggs will be fine . Griffin and Carter have been a nice 1-2 punch.
