Re: Ben Standley
You're missing the point. You can't apply normal logic to how the Ncaa works on these matters. That is the one certainty in these matters. They went way off into the weeds and didn't need to. The old "keep it simple stupid" logic applies to Ncaa transfer waivers. Guy is at a small school and wants to go to higher level. Going off into these unique and individual reasons is never, never, never a good idea.

I don't remember wanting to go to a “higher level” program being on the list of approved transfer exceptions.thecoach wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 10:48 amYou're missing the point. It shouldn’t be.....but it sure seems to work out that it is more often than not for certain schools.Jesseandrippers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 1:41 amI don't remember wanting to go to a “higher level” program being on the list of approved transfer exceptions.thecoach wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 10:48 amYou're missing the point. Re: Ben Standley
It is just sad for Stanley and for Xavier this year but after all, it is 2020!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Ben Standley
Whether he played for X or UC, this decision seems utterly ridiculous.
