Re: Samari Curtis
You guys need to lay off some of Anti’s medicinal stash. Curtis is a stud and probably would be an improvement by season end over Q. He is quick, can shoot, and had a good handle. He makes Redford look like Keenan Christensen.

Re: Samari Curtis
Hops love the Keenan Christendom reference. I think Curtis and Ben Roderick would be worth a risk if x can’t get a quality big at this point. Hard to explain but both Curtis and Roderick did not get many looks from
High D-1 teams. Curtis has already said he is staying at UC so it’s a moot point. It is his prerogative but I remember when X got him he said Steele was like a father to him. This is while Mack was still there. Mack leaves and Steele confirms his commitment. A month later he de-commits. For some reason he didn’t want to come to X.
I assume Cumberland is staying.

I spoke to a guy from Xenia last night who said he knew samari’s high school coach, coach Anderson, very well. Coach Anderson said Samari was definitely going to follow Mick to UCLA.

Re: Samari Curtis
Now, I have to say Curtis must be pretty good to win the Ohio player award. BUT, I could not find him on ESPN list any where and 247 sports has him at 162 as a three star recruit. Muskieman posted that Texas Tech players were 2 or 3 star rated and they were in the championship game. Recruiting and ratings are such a crap shoot and some players turn out better than projected. Only time will tell! Go Xavier!

Curtis beat Tandy in one v one yesterday, so he can’t be as bad as most think on this board.

Re: Samari Curtis
tonight the Ohio all-stars won but KyKy Tandy finished with 30 points and was named the game's Most Outstanding Player for Kentucky. KyKy Tandy had 19 in the first half. Samari Curtis just 2, but Amari Davis light it up for Team Ohio with 16 points

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I don’t think anyone is saying he’s bad. It’s just with our current back court and incoming recruits it wouldn’t seem necessary to beg him to come back just bc mick Cronin left uc.
