He did a very fine job on Defense today. Without his 26 minutes of spelling our starters, we would have been lost. And offensively, he hit key shots to help the Muskies over the hump. Q played almost the entire game but sometimes he doesn't show much of an IQ when it comes to using the clock instead of trying to slam a dunk when being closely guarded. At that point of the game, the clock was far more important than the scoreboard!

Elias is the unsung hero. He doesn't turn the ball over, he is gaining confidence and so have his minutes grown. He didn't sulk when he wasn't playing. I hope we will use him in the same sentence as James Farr and B J Raymond as players who just kept working hard and improved to make a contribution to the program.

Cudos to Travis Steele and the staff for seeing the potential when no one else did.

Wow. From someone who 3 weeks ago I assumed would be transferring (and to be honest didn’t think I’d really miss him) to a guy who seems like a real glue guy who is developing and I pray comes back next year.

Sometimes we need to remember, other than the very high end guys we recruit, college players often require maturity and development. That’s why they get 4 years and not one season or 1.5 seasons.

I’ve always loved Xavier because of these type of guys. The players I appreciate most are the bj Raymonds, James farrs, Justin cages, Sean Omaras. Guys that may not dazzle as freshman but work their butts off and become players we’ll never forget.

Agree, but I would argue that Justin Cage actually did dazzle as a frosh. Not so much because of his offense, but defense.

X got hot when Thad put him into the starting lineup and never looked back. The work he did against Luol Deng in the E8 kept us in the game.

You hope by the end of sophomore year that guys will start to show some potential.Maybe thats what we are seeing with Elias.As was mentioned ,we have had a lot of guys who took some time but turned into star players-Raymond,Love,Farr.From what I've read,he sounds like a good kid and has a good attitude.I think it's a plus if he comes back next year.
