It seems like Steele must sound like Charlie Brown's teacher to these guys.

Area number 43 TS will have to work on in the offseason. Not peeing down his pant legs when he has to tell his alleged "star" players to play team basketball, show an modicum of basketball IQ, and not be selfish. Q is playing for Q, imo. He banks a few home, and all of a sudden he's Kyle Korver. He doesn't lack for confidence, but don't believe he has a fully functioning when to comes to bball IQ.mumuskie87 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 8:33 pmQ's last 2 attempts from 3 haven't hit the rim.
Haven't hit the fickin rim .
Unbelievable!!
Incredible that Steele continues to let him chuck up 3's.

DePaul scored a bucket at 4:05 to make it 57-55 in favor of X.
The next minute and a half, X has 4 TO's - 2 by Marshall, 1 by Goodin and 1 by Scruggs - and DePaul takes a 62-57 lead.
X doesn't even get a shot off on 4 successive possessions.
Game over at that point.

Bingo. He also continues to fade away on shots making it more difficult, and bailing the defender out who would be called on a lot of fouls due to his long arms and unorthodox shooting. He still doesn't square up on shots often, and simply flicks them up to hole on short jumpers The only shot he mays with any consistency is a short banker. He has the fundamentals of the avg 11th best player on a mediocre AAU team.mumuskie87 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 8:52 pmMarshall plays a very good half after a slow start but that last possession of the half is why he is the poster child for this team's low BB IQ. Tries to make a one on five hero drive and, of course, turns it over.
It begs the question how good the coaches on the team are in terms of teaching fundamentals. Recruiting is the only skill they have shown to be adept in. However, that only gets you so far.

Convinced the headbands are constricting blood flow to the brains of several players.

Well...he along with Marshall and Scruggs can all ride on the short bus togetherAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 10:45 pmArea number 43 TS will have to work on in the offseason. Scruggs has been by far the most improved player this year but he had a shitty game today - 3 assists, 6 TO's and 2-7 from 3. I think Goodin and Marshall must be rubbing off on him.
Scruggs played better when Goodin was on the bench. And the team played better.
Steele needs to grow a pair and send Goodin and Marshall to the end of the bench with a coloring book and some crayons. And go ahead and play Kennedy, Harden and James and see if they any chance of contributing. Sometimes you just have to say WTF. You just got beat by double digits at home by the perennial BE cellar dweller

I blamed the headbands a number of games ago. Happy to see the wise on is starting to agree.ChitownSteve wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 10:53 pmConvinced the headbands are constricting blood flow to the brains of several players.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I think the headbands need to go.
Only "closers" get to wear to headbands.
And X doesn't have any "closers"

Has any team ever gone from a #1 seed to 20 loses ?this is painful to watch. These are situations where somebody's got to step up and say we're not going to lose. I'm not sure we have that person
