A win and it puts them at 4-3 and in 3rd place behind Nova and Marquette.

X may not be the worst BE team but certainly they have the lowest basketball IQ. And Naji, as good as he may be, leads the way. Whenever X got close he tried to do it all alone.

Not able to watch game. Can somebody please explain why Wellage, our best long range shooter put up just 2 long shots? Can we not devise sets to get him a good look?

First of all, why do Marshall and Scruggs have to spin every time they get into the open court. They are out of control and it gives you no chance to find the open man. Turnovers were the cause of this loss and you cannot have your two guards each turn the ball over six times each. Someone please tell Marshall that he is not a guard and should focus on playing forward and give the ball to Scruggs instead of dribbling the ball off his foot or making a bonehead play. As for Goodin I don't believe I have seen a player regress line he has this year. How do you let this happen at home? With the departures that will happen in the off season this team will be mediocre at best for a few years. I'm sure the six NBA scouts were cringing during this game.

The 4th best thing that happened at Nova for Q, is he made 2 treys. The worst thing? He hit two treys.

Bonehead move by Steele. Two steps forward, one step back. That's what they teach in coaching seminars after the instruction about putting 5 guys on the floor at the same time.

Naji makes a nice drive to give X the lead but turns it over on the next possession and then picks up his 4th foul.
The kid is talented but just continues to make head scratching plays.

Agreed. He is such a talent but can't shoot outside 6 feet, and dribbles like a 4. He loses the ball on the dribble at least 5 times a game. Fortunately, usually, a couple get recovered by X.

Have to admit that Q and Naji have been the 2 best 3 pt shooters tonight - combined 2-4.
Scruggs and Welage are a combined 1-6 from 3.

Just like a blind squirrel finding a nut. One of Q's was a bank in three. On a different possession, as Q was squaring up to shoot a 3 from the right elbow extended, the whistle blew as he missed the whole rim and hit the lower edge of the backboard. He also had 6 t.o.s and 1 assist. LAJ must be kicking himself for transferring.

Providence packed it in because Castlin was inexplicably in over Welage for most of the game. Let's not even use the red herring "defensive liability" card. X was beaten with Welage on the bench on 7 or 8 back door cuts and lobs because the guards failed to stop penetration, and the bigs hedged too high. Still a Steele fan, but he has not utilized Welage and Hankins this year as much as he should have. Guess who has played more minutes? Castlin.

That would have been like playing Gates more minutes than JP and Bluiett last year. I said it about CM, and I believe it would help Steele tremendously. Get a veteran coach on the bench. CM learned this year by bringing in Dino Gaudio. I would bet Gillen would be interested.
