I'm beginning to think that Steele is trying to set himself up for comeback coach of the year next year. If X improves their RPI by 200 in 19-20, he may be in the running. The sad thing is that still only would put X in NIT territory. Vanilla Mack definitely screwed him and X because he was making Arianne Grande karaoke tapes for L'Ville during the season last year, and Steele certainly did a hell of a job bringing in replacements, but to say he has been a disappointment is like saying the Bengals need a better coach. Unfortunately, considering the overall tremendous success X coaches have had in the last 3 decades, the law of averages may be coming into play.

Again, it's only Steele's 1st year (though he has been an assistant for 17 years), but he does have a roster with a plethora of 4 stars, the leading scorer in the MW last year, and the D II player of the year. His rotations and strategy of letting his worst 3 shooters have carte blanche with the 3 point shot is mind-boggling. Their schedule to date has also sucked, playing only one sure-fire NCAA team. Talent can overcome a lot of coaching deficiencies, so hopefully, the cavalry will come next year. I wished there was a lottery in cbb like they have for the pros. We'd be in line for a Mcdonald's AA next year. I also hope guys like Odom and other recruits for 2020 don't conclude that the development of their game would be served much better by another coach. Sadly, I know what I would do if I was Odom's adviser. Sorry, objectivity is an unshakeable trait of AH.

Steele better protect these upcoming recruits because this team is awful unless you call dribbling around for 25 seconds 30 feet away, set a bad pick, and then watch Jones dribble off his foot and smile. Did I mention this is the worst X team in 30 years at least the other teams that sucked didn't roll over.

This team is terrible we are not even getting a shot up. 17 to 0 run against a mediocre team. Did we read the scouting report? They are a three point shooting team. Marshall is a mess and Steele needs to rip this team a new one

This would be embarrassing if we were playing Duke. And to think I scoffed when Kelsey's name was mentioned as a possible candidate for HC.

Is this the worst 3 point shooting team in Xavier history?

Over the past 18 years only Mack's 2nd team was worse than this team from a % standpoint
That team has Tu, Lyons and Dante shooting the majority of the 3's
This team has a couple of good shooters but we got the wrong guys shooting the 3's

PLEASE put your name is as an assistant coach for the team. This concept which is game planned by every opposing coach has escaped our brain trust. Marshall's 3 point shooting could dip into the teens, and Goodin is now comfortably ahead of Marshall now with a robust 23%. However, since the two consistently take the most treys, this titanic contest will be enjoyed by every opponent this year. The mouse running on the wheel in Steele's Head is running out of juice.
