Non Conference Schedule
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
A schedule which should produce mostly wins. The only real challenges will come from Wisconsin, 2 games in Maui, and Cincinnati. Then the BE will show their real potential.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
In IUPUI, Oakland, Miami, Ohio U, and Eastern Ky, there are 5 schools whose RPI's will be worse than 250; this schedule will not be helpful come tournament time, although still better than Cupcake Brey' s pre-league games.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
I forgot to add Evansville as a sixth weak RPI game.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
I guess Steele should have run all the new guys through a meat shredder schedule. A team with a lot of experience Xavier will not be this year despite the transfers.gym from delhi wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 10:24 amIn IUPUI, Oakland, Miami, Ohio U, and Eastern Ky, there are 5 schools whose RPI's will be worse than 250; this schedule will not be helpful come tournament time, although still better than Cupcake Brey' s pre-league games.

My take is...Steele has not idea what he has for starters...new blood...chemistry. His first go-around as a D1 coach...give him some slack, I have absolutely NO problem with this schedule...now, if Mack was still here, that would be different story. Like what we are seeing with fresh blood to program, next year! Go Muskies!

Re: Non Conference Schedule
The Maui Invitational will hopefully help XU. Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinios, Iowa St, San Diego St, XU.
Wins over Arizona, Duke & Gonzaga would mean the most to XU on a pure guess from me. Making the finals would be big.
Winning it all could really get their ratings going. Post season hooray for XU winning the BE Championship & going 7-2 on the road in
the BE.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
not worried about the non-conf schedule at all. no matter what happens at Maui, those 3 games should balance out a lot.
and it's Steele's first year, a TON graduated, so a few "cupcakes" on the schedule will be good for this team.

Re: Non Conference Schedule
X fans should expect a good won loss record in the non conference schedule because it is a weak schedule. The key will be the BE play and wins there. Making the NCAA tournament will be tougher this coming season.
