Who's Coaching if we're in Final 4

Postby xu koop scoop » Sat Mar 31, 2018 11:00 am

If we had gotten to Final 4, would Mack have still been coaching or announced he was gone during tourney. It's pretty obvious all of this would have been delayed & maybe not even happen with a National Championship. I could see Mack, "Whoopee, we won it all - I'm going to Louisville."
We can see now that during the tourney his focus & energy wasn't entirely on XU & players can feel that. He was a man divided, which makes total success very difficult. This might not be a great comparison, but sort of like trying to love your wife while cheating with another woman.
Seems to me back in the 80s Michigan's Coach was found to be going elsewhere & either he was let go or left on his own. This was immediately
before the tourney. Steve Fisher then took over for the 6 tourney games & Michigan won it all I believe. If our Administration had gotten wind of what was about to go down, we could have let Mack go before the tourney & see where Steele got us. Hindsight seems worthless, but the same issue could happen years down the road & we could pull a Michigan next time. Seriously, our Administation should have been all ears & known what was coming.

I think they knew, but they felt their hands were tied. Plus they were probably hanging on to MAYBE he stay if they advance far enough.

how on God's green earth can YOU or ANYONE ELSE possibly know this???

how?

tell me. don't give me this "i could just tell that he wasn't focused solely on our team and that's why we lost". it's complete bull#$%&.

i don't know what Mack would have decided had we been playing tonite, but to think he would actually accept the Louisville job while X was still playing makes your post/thinking even more ludicrous.
