I think he is going a great job at UC.
He has 1 S16 appearance in 12 years.
And has won 3 tournament games total in the last 6 years
Stellar job.

Travis Steele is the only logical option if X wants any chance of keeping players or recruits committed to X. Fail to hire him and you have the potential to lose everyone except Gates, Goodin and Jones. It's still possible even they may bolt if every coach from this year's team leaves. I think the reason Travis turned down Evansville is that he either knows, believes or hopes he is the next head coach. And he definitely should be. Continuity is vital at this juncture, as it has been every time our coach has left since Gillen. It's been a winning formula, and there's no reason it won't continue to be. His nine years experience here and the recruiting and game experience he has shown make him the best option.

Nobody threw Bob Huggins name in the ring. Would he be interested in getting his old school back and take Xavier to a final 4 for a first time. I actually think he would stay until he retired. And he also recruited one of our own player with Xavier ties Miles mcbride away from X. I think Xavier missed on Walt's son.

Maybe one bright spot about having to hire a new coach is the uninteded humor in some of these posts on potential new coaches. My side is splitting.
