Disappointing, but on the other hand it will be exciting to have a new coach and a new look. I hope X moves quickly to get the new coach on board. Very disturbing that the assistants were openly (apparently) recruiting for UL. I guess this is not surprising given the couple (several?) times he has almost gone in the past, but I was hoping he would be a career guy at X. I hope the next coach a) is successful and b) if so stays for at least 7-9 years.

I would hope that X never gets into a situation similar to what is happening (apparently) at U Dump.

And maybe now the walk-ons will get some minutes when we have a 30 point lead, LOL.

One thing I do NOT want to hear is a departing X coach talk about how X is such a special place. Apparently not special enough. Only thing worse than that is hearing what a special place the school is going to is. I wonder what that might be for UL?

I appreciate what chris Mack did for Xavier helping guide them through the big east transition and push recruiting to new heights. He also got us another elite 8 and our first big east regular season title.

At the same time good riddance, you're the enemy now. Would love to do a home and home vs Louisville in a couple years. Good luck showing your face in your home town again.

Congrats CM....everyone works to get ahead and for their family. $28 million over 7 years is way too much to say no to, plus that is just his salary. He will make bonuses, endorsements, tv and radio contracts , shoe contracts, etc etc....so his real deal is probably in excess of $5 million a year. X could never offer that. People want to be happy at their job and make as much as they can...his family is financially secure for a few generations...one would hope. It is time to move on.
