Far as I know nothing. But yeah really sorry ass officials made some bad calls! This ending sucked!

Credit to Florida State for sticking to their style of play and not giving up when down double digits. They took advantage of every opportunity we and the refs gave them the final ten minutes.

Our sub par free throw shooting all game didn't help our cause. And we made some bad plays during their final run and in response to the bad calls in the second half. Trevon had three turnovers and we walked the ball down the court down three with one possession.

But...

JP won that game for us and took us to the Sweet 16 with his play on the court and the refs took that away from him. Yes, we could have, should have overcome the adversity. But easier said than done after such a punch to the gut.

14:25: JP gets an all-ball steal and will most likely either score 2 or 3 points, pushing our lead to 13 or 14. Instead, the refs call a phantom foul and FSU hits two free throws to keep us from pulling away.

8:55: JP makes an amazing all-ball block after missing a FT on the other end. The ball appears to go out of bounds off the shooter. Instead, the refs call foul and FSU hits two free throws to keep us from pulling away again.

2:06: With the game tied, JP drives to the basket and draws contact. Replay shows the defender was never set and shifted last second to get the contact. Instead of sending JP to the line, refs call charge and JP watches the rest of the game from the bench.

Instead of pulling away, or at the very least holding off their run, we find ourselves with no momentum and confused on offense. Scruggs hits two clutch free throws in the final two minutes to give us back the lead, but those are our last points of the game. Without JP on the court, Trevon turns it over once leading to a transition three and their first lead of the game. Trevon turns it over again on our next possession and out of a double time out, we foul and give them two more freebies. Down three, in a one-possession game, we walk the ball down the court and miss a three... Game over.

I try to stay objective and always try to stress our faults in a loss over the officiating, but this was the worst officiating I have ever seen in the post season. Three wrong calls in the second half going against the player that is carrying a team is ridiculous.

This feels so much worse than the loss to Wisconsin. That was on us and due to the clutch play of Koenig.

The seniors deserved more than to go out like this...

I think the refs call fouls just because it looks like there may have been contact.With JP on the court more,we win.After that 4 th foul,the momentum turned to FSU.Just a sad way to end what was a great season.

To me there were several turning points, if that's possible. Certainly JP going out was a big one. I think Naji's injury was a huge blow. Our best defender and someone who rebounds well. Maybe they get less put backs with Naji in there. And Chris leaving Kanter in when FSU kept attacking the paint, getting buckets and put backs. Needed to get Jones or O'Mara in there to have a bigger presence inside. And why did O'Mara only play few if any minutes in the second half. He had a block, a couple altered shots, offensive rebounds and assists in his few minutes. I think Chris put too much on Kanter and forgot about the bigs.

They also failed to call goal-tending when an FSU player knocked one off our rim. That's an additional two points we did not get. And several of the FSU steals should have been called fouls instead. However, we should have won even though we had to play our five against their eight. All we had to do was shoot either our normal free throw percentage or our normal 3-pr. percentage. We did neither.

When you've blown good sized leads twice in one week in big games, sometimes it's not as simple as a turning point. This team won with offense most of the time, and when you cannot score in tight games you have to lock folks down. It eventually catches up to you particularly away from home, and the law of averages evens things out. We won some games by skinny margins during the year, and it caught up with us at the end of the year. Somewhat the reverse of last year for different reasons in some aspects.
