With him, nothing would surprise me. However, I feel that a 1-seed deserves more respect than that.

I would put my money on Xavier against Wofford. Didn't they beat North Carolina?

I don't think he makes/would make such statements about other teams, especially 1-seeds.

Come on. Be honest. We are not a defensive juggernaut. People who post that "we have to tighten up defensively" are deluded. At this point we is who we is.
There ARE several teams that could beat Xavier. If we get the wrong matchup re: speed, ability to make the 3 and make Xavier turn the ball over we are toast. And if our guards shoot 25% from the field. Again, we are toast.
But, that being said, there are several teams in the field that can be beat by several teams.
It's all about match ups. A cliche that cannot be stressed enough.

Although Bilas is a blow hard until we show up for the entire game and play strong perimeter defense I’m not sure I disagree with him. Losing a 17 point lead in conference semis is not the best way to win over critics.

I'm certainly not a Jay Bilas fan.
And I very much dislike UNC and Roy Williams.
I feel like the NCAA should have put the hammer down on their decades long academic transgressions.
However, they have gone to back to back championship games the past 2 years.
They have 3 seniors - Berry, Pinson and Johnson - and 2 juniors - Maye and Williams.
As a program, they have earned their reputation with performance on the court.
yes, X is a 1 seed but have to back it up on the court.
We don't have a history of going to Final Fours but hour is at hand to make that happen.
The team needs to let their play do the talking.
