i don't blame the "wear down" part because you could say that on our end as well but we didn't.kyzrex wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 10:00 pmAll 5 of the SH starters played 30 minutes or more in the game, and they have been doing this all season long. It could be that part of the reason that JP took over the game, and X pulled away, is that the SH players wore down. That probably gave JP more opportunities to make plays. That he stepped up and took advantage of those opportunities is a credit to his mental and physical toughness. Simply put, if I was going into combat I’d like a whole bunch of JP’s with me. Throughout his career he has shown this part of his personality and ability more often than not.
what i mean by that is this: where in the heck were Q, Kanter, and Naji in the 2nd half? they barely played so the other guys were playing almost the entire second half and we didn't wear down.
JP was the difference, though. can't believe his put back dunk didn't make ESPN top 10.

Re: Don't poke the bear!
My point was that the SH players have been playing big minutes all season long and all of them played big minutes in the 1st half and the 2nd half of the X game. X has enough depth that their players don’t have the same wear and tear on them as much of the opposition does. It’s a cumulative thing. Over a season the wear and tear on the legs, through all of the practices and games will have an effect. It may have been part of the reason that X (and especially JP) seemed to be a step quicker than SH the last 10 minutes of that game. Not the only reason, but a reason. We don’t know how the SH practices are run or how hard they are being pushed during them. But when your roster is limited in either numbers of quality, it will certainly have an effect on how the players legs feel over time. This might also be a reason why X seems to do better than might be expected in post season tourneys many years. Like I said, we don’t know how the practice structure of SH May effect this, nor do we know how the practice structure of X effects this. But there is no denying that JP was a step quicker than anyone on the SH roster appeared to be.
