If that is true, what crap! Cronin talks a good game, but acts like wuss when things don't go his way. What could have JP done to set him off?? Hey Mick, your guys played like crap and the only reason the game was as close as it was at the end is due to X not taking care of the ball in the final 8 minutes (press or no press) and shooting ill fated shots early in the shot clock.

Mick was blown out and he has to set up another narrative. His yellow tooth gnome status is intact. He is reported to have said to JP while in the handshake lineup, after he refused to Shake JP's hand and JP told him to go suck something, “you want a piece of me mother f_cker" Mick, nice talk from a head coach. Guess now he will open the discussion that he doesn't want to play us at Cintas because the guy can't take the heat.

From former assistant coach Rick Carter: What’s funny about this is that I recruited JP and I specifically remember him telling me that UC was trying too as well. I suggested to him we could combine an unofficial visit to see both. He said to me that they called 35+ times that week and he had zero interest in UC.

Great response from Mack. Difference was Xavier manhandled UC on the Boards. The only thing that kept the game close was UC's defense. Other than that, we were deeper, better shooters and we had played tougher opponents to than UC and we were prepared for the level of competition.

Mick Cronin suffers from little man disease and being in clearly a lower level conference. We own Cincinnati, plain and simple when it comes to college basketball programs, enjoy your conference and get one of the 2-3 bids you might get to the dance from the AAC. Be thankful, Wichita St joined the AAC.
