Great effort. Just not enough depth.

Good game, but our perimeter defense let us down. Maybe fatigue but can't let a team hit last nine 3's and lay 3 was not defended

Hops:

Sorry, but that was exactly the shot most X fans would give up in that situation. Foster shot it with better than 8 seconds to go. A miss and X has the rebound. Even with the make X still had the chance to tie. Hats off to Foster for the make. However, if the ball rims out Creighton Nation would be befuddled why a 25' was taken with so much time on the clock.

Proud of X tonight, battling throughout in a well contested game. Either team could have prevailed and Creighton earned the win.

Thought Goodin exhibited some real confidence tonight. In the three games, there were multiple contributors and, while there were some noticeable lapses, team play was on display for the majority of the 120 minutes played at MSG. While always rooting for X to be victorious, this loss seems to sting far less than most.

Hand down man down. Sorry but a wide open 3 after they have hit 8 straight is not what we want. A timeout would have been nice however it was a good game and they should be dancin. Proud of team I just don't like poor defense which was demonstrated in 2nd half.

Great game. Reminded me of the X-KSU double OT game in 2010. Statistically, it looks like X played really bad perimeter D, but I don’t think that’s the case. They just had more guys shoot much better than normal, whereas we had one in JP. X also tried different defenses, and when Patton started to get hot early in the 2nd, they had to pick their poison. The one 3 which hurt the most was when O’Mara and Q were caught in a switch, and were guarding each other’s man with 2 min+ to go. They had several chances to switch back, but didn’t, and the guard whom O’Mara followed hit a trey.

Speaking of Q, though he didn’t have a great game statistically, he had a great impact on the game. When he learns that his range is the same as CJ Anderson, he is going to be a really effective offensive player. He gets into the lane at will. Jones also played very well. Bodes well for the future. Overall great team effort, and this tourney showed X has the talent to win a couple games in the tourney, depending on matchups, of course, even w/o ES. Forget Myles. Bernard is a better overall player.

Four straight semi-finals in a top 5 league is something to be proud of. Agree with Chitown. I thought for sure Watson was going to drive on Tre. I’ll take my chances with a low-mid 3 point shooter shooting a long-range trey to win the game. Bring on KY.

You had me until you said Bernard was a better overall player than Myles Davis. Not close.
