Fair point. So let's all agree not to get excited about ANY in coming class until they have at least five NCAA games under their belt.

Last time I checked Mack was in charge of recruits. Gaston was supposed to take over at center and he seems to be getting worse and the improvement of Goodin, Omara, and Gates seems to be stagnant.

Just wondering if the Myles Davis departure/whole event had something to do with the attitude of our team. It seems we have lost the killer instinct. We totally implode late in games...Is it lack of mental toughness or just teams are better than us?? Our second half performance has been unbelievable this year....I'm in no way diminishing the loss of our Point Guard......huge game changer!!

Did not see game today as its Mardi Gras!! Just watched the tape....Dang it was a great game until the last 5 minutes. They kicked our asses the last 5!!! This does not make sense to me....turnover after turnover resulting in layups and or put backs after missed fb layups....we collapsed totally??

Xu captain I'm embarrassed u are a musketeer fan.Don't remember Goodin scoring? One of four in double digits.Did u watch the game. The kids size athleticism and defense oozes potential. He is a true frosh who didn't get significant minutes til January. I hope u save your dipshit posts until he is an upperclassmen. And u eat your ignorance when he is an all league caliber player.

If he ends up as an all league performer i seriously doubt it will be as a point guard.

Thank you. I used to check this board every 10 days or so to see if there was any different info than on the other (better, frankly) sources for XU news, but once I saw how horrendous Captain's takes were, I had to jump in. I'm hoping he's playing an "old out of touch guy" comic routine.

Started season 13-2. Horrendous since. The team "karma" almost has to be in disarray with the loss of SUMNER & almost simultaneously DAVIS quitting/getting pushed out. Then TRE's absence. Reminds me a little of the disarray team was in after the LYONS,HOLLOWAY et al.. incident
in the UC Game upset what may have become our best season ever. Coaches can only do so much as a player or two needs to step up and
have private players only meeting or otherwise let coaching staff know of the issues that are affecting the team. Happy coaches have GASTON as he had series of double doubles games - and where would we be without him. GOODINs done OK for being thrown into a full blown 35+ minutes per game role. GATES is the 3rd of the G Men and seems to have gone backwards from late last season. I still think we can make the NCAA tourney & even win a game or two depending on matchups.
A win over Marquette now seems mandatory & winning at DePaul would help. I still think we can win at least 1 in BE Tourney. Losing the next 3 would doom the NCAA bid. The 2004 team had tremendous lows mid to late season & only finished 8th in the A10 before a run to the Elite 8. "Karma" can change several times during a season & I suggest we all enjoy 1 game at a time. Remembering Schmidt, the Gardens & now Cintas. Go X men.
Enjoy reading all these posts :) :ugeek: :geek:
