Not to be negative but our bigs aren't very good, forces too many threes. Hope is Tfrique grows up and the juco can play. My one beef with Mack is he never calls a timeout to stop runs. I know he wants the kids to play through it but sometimes you have to try to stop the bleeding.

We lost for 1 reason: we let UC get 18 offensive rebounds. Not sure how many 2nd chance poit's they ended up with, but it was a ton!!!

Another huge offensive performance by an opponent after halftime. I think they average about 48 points after X walks into the locker room with a lead. X is now 1-7 against NCAA probable teams when the latter happens. I just have to wonder what happens in 20 minutes during the break?

Congrats to Tre for a phenomenal performance. Begrudgingly, I have to congratulate MC for his 2nd half adjustments. 1st half: X 44-36; 2nd half UC 50-34. Key was something like 7 straight fouls on X on 8 offensive possessions. Mick knew X couldn't guard them off the dribble, and that helped UC turn the tide.

Thank God for Depaul. We'll have at least 2 more wins in the BE.

Hats off to Trevor Bluiett. What a game by Tre. The young guys played pretty solid minutes by Tyrique and Quentin! Lack of presence inside tonight hurt us in this game for sure.

Too bad. Tre played one of the greatest shooting games in X's history. Wasted effort.
Very pleased with Jones and Q's play today.
Frankly, would just start and play Jones each game, let him play until he fouls out and sub in Gaston and SOM.
Gaston and SOM - 28 combined minutes, 0-7 from the field and 7 boards.
Jones - 12 minutes, 5 boards and 6 points including 4-5 from the line.

Gates turned another invisible performance.
18 minutes, 3 points, 2 boards, 1-5 from the field. He is a 6-8 version of Redford...well actually no, Brad was a better 3 point shooter than Gates.

How do these refs not give Cronin a Technical. These Refs are awful!!

They are obviously biased. They have to be. We're losing.

C'mon AH, even the ESPN announcers stipulated Mick effected the whistle tonight. The foul call on Bernard was bogus. Announcers questioned that call, too.

No question terrible defensive rebounding was the principal cause of defeat. No one disputes that fact. However, the reversed out of bounds call yet another example of how quickly UC was getting the automatic benefit of the call.

There were definitely some nebulous fouls, including 2 on Bernard, and a block called on JP. Did it impact the game? Sure it did. Did it determine the outcome? No.

I don't think we had one comment on poor officiating when we only had 17 fouls against Gtown, and they had 34? We onlywon by 10. I didn't think the disparity ultimately determined the outcome there either.
