It is a shame. But at least he has his degree. He made a mistake that cost him half his SR year, and he comes back, a 5th year SR, playing 3rd team behind a true FR, 4 years younger than him.

I am sure Chris promised he wouldn't hold this against him and he would be given the opportunity to step right in. I think Chris was giving him every opportunity, but it probably didn't feel that way to Myles. It was obvious others were playing better and earning the minutes. I am sure Myles was frustrated.

I wish him well. In spite of what happened last summer, he seems like a nice young man. He is now a Xavier Alum. He was a very good player for us. Thanks Myles! Good luck!!!

Doesn't it sound as if Myles committed some impropriety and was "asked" to leave? Chris offered no comment about all the contributions he has made to the team in the past or any referral to his attempt to return. Q will continue to improve and help this team down the stretch.

Situation handled poorly all around. Not a good year for Chris.

Sorry to see him go. Glad the crowd at the last game gave him a good solid welcome back with a sustained applaud and many standing when he entered the game. His final time on the floor should tell him the fans forgave him for his indiscretion and loved all he has done for the program. As an alum and member of the family I hope he stays close to the program and comes back.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

In retrospect it appears to have been a poor decision to bring him back but how do you know.

well, according to some in the know.......Myles has had multiple issues over the years

Agreed that Mack could have done much better with the whole situation......

Being a season ticket holder from 86 to 05 & , here's my 2cents on college basketball & XU bball. The outrageous coaching money, TV money & kids leaving after 1 to 3 years has been a turn off til the point I only watch XU whereas I grew up also liking UC & UD & others. Conference jumping has also been a turn off. As far as XU's administration, they go way overboard in their "goody two shoes" attitude. Dez Wells got hosed and I imagine Myles Davis got hosed as well (throwing cell phones and losing temper-who cares). Myles was a true floor leader last year and seldom if ever argued with the Refs. Holloway & Lyons both got suspended after that UC game for simply speaking their mind. Then Martin left for SMU, Lyons for Zona and Reynolds and Semaj left early which I'd be ok with if they were 1st round picks in the NBA. I think Coach Mack has had unresolved personality conflicts with some players & I don't see him as a players coach, which both Gillen & Prosser were.

Players coach? Of course Mack is a players coach. He allowed Tu and Lyons to do whatever they wanted, which lead to problems and Lyons leaving. Should have cut the after Davis broke the second phone.

How was it handled poorly? It seems that he was given every chance to redeem himself and blew it.
