Happy Birthday JP with 23 points. Ed has 28 May you have many more games like this one. Happy New Year X fans
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Very nice win. Any BE road win is big. Georgetown played very well today and shows they have talent, but as usual they are just inconsistent. I thought we played well, especially because we didn't shoot well and still put up 80. Sumner played his best game of the year as did Omara. Bluiett really struggled, so it was almost nice to win when our best scorer was bad.

Huge win, especially because after we play St. Johns we have 3 straight games against top 15-20 teams (depending where Butler falls).

Nice win.

Hard fought game....good win with your high scorer have an off night.

Road wins in the BE are very important.
Just ask Mick Cronin...he will tell you that because he used to coach in this league before he moved to a mid-major conference.

If someone said X would win with Tre only scoring 1 point I would have thought that person crazy but ED and JP picked up the load and then some. Must say the bg giys were not too shabby and next time Jones will have a better game as he found out what Big East games are like.

Ed and JP pick up the scoring slack from Tre
They combine for 51 points and go 22-26 from the line - 85%.
That spells "winnin"....apologies to Matthew McConaughy in Dazed and Confused.

Agree....RG and SOM combined for 14 pts and 13 boards. Good to see SOM playing with more confidence and RG struggled in the 1H but came back made some big buckets in the 2H.
Good game guys

Jones and Q didn't play great but it was their 1st BE game - it's a different level now with conference play. Hope they gain confidence and play better as the season goes on. We will need them to contribute.

the foul line was as good for X as it was bad for X against Providence. Made more FT's than GT took and GT only shot only 60.9% from line and it would have been worse if their 90% foul shooter Derrickson had gone to line more. Down the end X protected the ball and GT threw them away more. A week of practice and let the Cintas crowd be loud for St johns

3 pt scoring was even with 6 made 3's each.
GT out scored X by 10 pts from 2 but X made 15 more FT's
Ed and JP by themselves almost made as many FT's as GT shot - 22 to 23.
