Re: Colorado Game thread 12/07/2016
Deja Vu get a lead by 9 Pts and give up easy baskets and then go dry for several minutes. Colorado certainly no powerhouse made big shots down the stretch. It looked to me that Gaston was fouled on the lay up after the steal but he would have had to make 2 FT's to cut it to 1. Good teams win games like this on the road. Creighton, Nova and Butler getting it done at home and on the road. the Hall also won tonite at Pearl Harbor. Hopefully they can figure it out before conference games right around the corner where in early Jan they have back to back road games with Nova & Butler. I think the over ranking was a curse for this team and they will fall out of the top 25 if they lose on Sat.

Js, I do believe Butler lost tonight to Indiana St. Soooooo, id say our loss to Colorado is not as bad at that. In reality, these two losses will not really effect us too much by the end of the year. Like I said, its not like we lost to Indian St.Michigan Musketeer wrote:Deja Vu get a lead by 9 Pts and give up easy baskets and then go dry for several minutes. I thought the preseason top 10 ranking was crazy. We lost some very good players from last year and the suspension of Myles. Not near as good as last year.Plenty of time to get better. Liked what Rashid did last night but still can't make a foul shot. We need to get a lot better there. Didn't get enough from Ed or JP .What type of player is Kaiser ?is he just going to jack up threes?I hope not. Need him to take it to the hole.

Checking the stats.......Gaston and O'Mara were 9-12 in fg's.....why not continue going to those two? We go jacking up wild ass three's instead??

Thank you. He might be a great kid, but Bernard has got to be X's worst starter in 15 years.XavierTragedy wrote:Just an awful performance. Top 25?? Perhaps 35. Not playing as a team. No inside game (on Mack). Why is Bernard (#11) playing, period?
One can only hope that they can convince Sumner not to go "Pro". What a joke.

They have struggled to finish around the rim but last night they were getting it done.CU doesn't have the front line Baylor does.I'd rather go inside tha n struggle from behind the arc.Treyvon was 6 for 13.I think everyone else was 1 for 14Shadow wrote:In the Baylor game they were 2-6joeabe wrote:Checking the stats.......Gaston and O'Mara were 9-12 in fg's.....why not continue going to those two? Bernard starts because no one else has stepped up to take his place. Goodin and Gates have struggled and we really don't have anything else. I cringe everytime Tyrique shots or goes to the line.

Check out the stats. If it were not for Bluiett we would probably be one of the worst 3Pt shooting team in Div 1 and we still jack NBA 3 pointers sometimes early in the shot clock. With our poor FT shooting to boot I doubt we will hear CM's famous quote "Not worried about the offense". Hopefully we see a big improvement on Sat against Utah.

Re: Colorado Game thread 12/07/2016
looking at past years, sweet 16 and elite eight years and you know what I found. None were undefeated coming into the tourney and a few had rather mediocre records. That said was I happy about last night, heck no, a basket here and no 5 shot FT drought and the game was X's for the taking. I just don't want to panic and get all frustrated with this team. I saw a glimmer of hope at the 5 and once some of the guys start understanding they are not the whole game and if they do their part the game will become easier. JP love him for his play but son you need to play within the game-plan. others need to see the line as a place to get free points. I am sure they are all trying but hit the foul line and quite the three point line big guys.
Again this game was X's but they forgot to do the little things.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
