This is not a smart Xavier team. CO has no interior D and we continue to jack up 3's and poor shots. Good thing we are not playing someone that good or we would be down 15.

We may be watching a different game. Missing 3's and jacking up 3's are distinct. X is missing wide open 3's.

Same game. They are playing a zone and daring us to shoot 3's which cause easy transition. When did Gates turn into a 2 guard. We will be out of the 25 shortly. A poor shooting team should not keep shooting 3's

Tre is the only guy that can make a 3 for X - 4 for 8 in the half. Rest of the team - 1 for 8.

And the possibility of Myles returning does not address playing against a zone? You are going to have Trevon pass up the wide open 3's he has had this evening?

Teams play non-conference games to work on things for the Conference season.

Simply put - Gates is playing poorly.
Bigs can't make a shot past 2 feet.
Look at ESPN's shot chart.
X has made zero shots outside the paint but inside the 3 pt line. Zero shots.
No one can make a mid range jumper which is the open shot against a zone if you move the ball.
