We would very likely been preseason top 5.............I personally think Trevon is nowhere close to an NBA player. Maybe Europe. Ed is NBA destined for sure, but he has to distribute better and improve his outside shot.

NBA for sure? (Ed)...put down the kool aid..I am watching the league right now...his shooting and handles are average on a good day...that translates to second tier Euro or Asia....WORK..stop hearing the hype...hit the weight room...everyone (guards) trying to make it are as quick and "athletic" as you but can shoot and pass better...there are alot of first round picks not playing in the league right now...you cash one decent check and in 10 years you are group training high school/middle school kids trying to hustle up $$...Don't laugh....I have hired 3 former d1 all americans to train teams on a cash nightly basis...Lets win this Tourney X :)..how is that for a psychotic segway :0

Ed will likely get an opportunity in the NBA but he has to clean up his game. If he continues to turn it over and shoot this poorly from beyond the arc then he will play himself out of the NBA. Trevon is probably not an NBA player. I don't believe he is athletic enough to play in the NBA. He will get a tryout and possibly be drafted but I would not expect him to stick. JP is probably more likely to play NBA then Trevon. He has intangibles that gives him extra value.

Wow, if this how you talk about our guys, I'd hate to see what you say about our opponents!!

They're kids, working hard, trying to get better! Why so much negativity???

Plus, Bluiett can flat out shoot - I don't care what the percentages say right now. That is a skill the NBA never ignores. And the guy works. Look at how he remade his body this offseason. Loves the game and works at it? Another thing the NBA never ignores. I'm not saying he's a lottery talent, but he's in the league in five years, I'm sure of it. Sean Kilpatrick was similar, though 2 inches shorter, and he's worked himself into a steady job with Brooklyn.

As for Sumner, give him a break! He's maybe trying to do too much right now, but it's November! And folks are saying everybody in the NBA is athletic. Yeahhh but Sumner is off the charts athletic AND he's 6-5. I don't know that he'll ever be able to run a team. That just isn't where his strengths lie. Some players can control pace and game flow; some can't. But I'm pretty sure there are a lot of NBA teams that would love to develop him into a ball guard off the bench that can defend 2-3 positions and create offense at the end of the shot clock.

Let's get behind them and cheer for them instead of tearing them down! (Oh by the way, we're 5-0!!!!!)

Agree with what a lot of people have said about these two.

To me, Ed can be an NBA guard. Others have said what he has to work on. And if he is projected to be a first round pick, he should go. Even if he could get better there is no guarantee that the money will be there the following year.

As for Tre, I think he should stay in school. He should be a 4 year player, he will not be a first round pick. I'm not trying to be down on the kid, he is my favorite player on the team, but I don't think his skills translate to the NBA. He is a solid defender, but not quick enough to stay with NBA guards consistently. He is a good shooter, but not great at the college level, and therefore is unlikely to be good at the NBA level. He is a solid rebounder, but at 6' 6" he is unlikely to be able to do that strongly in the NBA. And he doesn't have the handles or the quickness to create his own shot in the NBA.

Again, I really don't mean to be talking down about Tre, he is a fantastic player, and I really hope he proves me wrong. My advice is he stays four years, gets his degree, and then tries the NBA, and if that doesn't work for him, he will be one heck of a player overseas.

I personally don't watch NBA games. I can't evaluate their potential. I am also very selfish and want both of them to complete all four years of eligibility. I love their talent, passion, work ethic, and the off-the-court personalities each displays. They are so good for Xavier, and Xavier is good for them. I certainly hope they both achieve their dream of achieving successful NBA careers. I will probably watch them if they do, but I'll be glad to wait a while for that.
Mark Twain was wrong. Golf is NOT a good walk spoiled. It is a shared personal experience in a majestic wonderland guided by God, whose name is called frequently during the round.

There is a big difference between tearing players down and being realistic...for Ed, 6'5 projects to the 2 (or 1 but he can't play point) in the league...at the 2 you have to shoot....often and effectively to stick...it is called shooting guard for a reason. My point was to stay in school....work hard and get your degree...you think he is an athletic freak? Wait till he goes eyeball to eyeball with Westbrook, Thompson, Harden, Irving...the list goes on and on..I am not being negative...I have loved watching D West all these years and happy to see Semaj claw his way out of the D league which is almost impossible...I want us to make the final 4!! But as a former coach I am also a realist :D
