Schedule import into Outlook.com calendar

Postby Danprtr » Thu Oct 20, 2016 11:50 am

Couldn't get the GoXavier.com website "add to calendar" button (utilizes a web service called "Stanza") to work for Outlook.com (or Live.com or Hotmail.com). Tried both, downloading an .ics file and choosing the Outlook option and couldn't figure it out.

If anyone else has the same trouble, the following url worked when using Outlook.com's "add calendar" "from internet" option.
This is the ESPN provided calendar.

Hope this helps someone.

I'd like to add that all games listed there are for the Eastern time zone (but adjusted to my time zone upon import) and when you download that to your calendar you are downloading the pretty much the following for each entry.

Agree that all the extra text in the ESPN calendar is unnecessary but at least it doesn't mess up the appearance of the display on my Android calendar app.

The instructions for using .ics files are for Outlook software, not Outlook.com web service.
Seems the Stanza service doesn't work with Outlook.com? Surprising omission since ESPN's service does work.

I have Windows Live Mail. I would like to add the calendar and add it to Facebook. I am a bit frustrated trying to figure out how to add it to either. Any tech savvy friends out there that can help a friend?

You can add the calendar to your Live Mail account by using the link and instructions in the first post in this thread. Just open your Live Mail calendar and click at top on "Add calendar" then "from internet" then paste in the webcal link (from the first post) and give your calendar a name that you want to show up to the left of the displayed calendar. You can turn the calendar display on and off by clicking on the name you gave this calendar.

I must be dense! I click Calendar; Add a Calendar; and it give me no option for internet. It allows me to put a name in, a color, and a description.
