I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Hard to believe that it has been 8 years since Dante Jackson made a buzzer-beating 40' to defeat Va. Tech in this tournament.
Can anyone slow the clock down?

Can't believe no one else has commented on the ramifications of this. I was going to PR. Already had flight and hotel booked. Did not buy trip ins and now screwed. So badly that losing a lot of money if we try and switch. Wife is pissed, and probably now not going to Orlando. This really sucks. The audacity for those on charge, who knew about zika for almost a year now, to wait until 6 weeks out to switch this venue is INEXCUSABLE....

Not sure why Orlando was picked as a substitute location.X-lucidity wrote:Can't believe no one else has commented on the ramifications of this. I was going to PR. Already had flight and hotel booked. I was just in Orlando for work and zika updates were a daily topic on the local news.

There really is no mystery as to why:mumuskie87 wrote: Not sure why Orlando was picked as a substitute location.

Re: 2016 Puerto Rico Tip-Off moves venue
I bought 2 tickets to San Juan with sky miles on Delta Airlines on July 12. After ESPN announced the venue change I Called Delta up and explained how Zika had forced me to change my plans and could they help me out. Their customer rep was great and after telling me there would be a fee to change the tickets to Orlando, they waived the fee. So it didn't cost me anything to switch to Orlando. The main thing is I made the case that the tournament was canceled in PR and it wasn't my decision and now I wanted to go to Orlando. It also probably didn't hurt that I have a frequent flyer account and I have a Delta Amex card. I made sure I was pleasant to the customer rep. Call them up and plead your case. It can't hurt.
