Justin Smith Commits to IU

Wondering if Smith's choice will have an impact on Kris Wilkes and his decision since they are similar style players. Rumor out of Indy had it, Xavier and IU were the final two for KW even though UCLA shows up as well. Justin Smith chose IU over Villanova.

Considering those that have already committed, should both Scruggs & Wilkes give the nod to X the Cintas will needs straps to tie down the roof

I'm not going to comment on how this effects Wilkes recruiting because I don't really know, but I did read an interesting quote from WIlkes today. He recently said this about Indiana “Really they just need to be real. Don’t show me one side and then be different on the other side. At the end of the day if I go there and you weren’t as real as you were before I don’t want to be one of those guys that transfers so I would have to deal with it." To follow it up I read someone claiming to have "inner access to the program" (him and everyone else online, right?) who says Wilkes is not happy with Indiana currently. Feel free to read into this as much or as little as you'd like.

Wilkes has a visit to UConn scheduled October 29.

According to 24/7 Sports, Wilkes will visit Xavier the WE of Oct. 28 and UConn the following weekend of November 3rd.

Scouts had the UConn Oct 29 date. So not sure which is correct.

Scruggs has already visited Xavier and UConn. As I read it, Scruggs visited UConn back in August. Wilkes will visit Xavier the weekend of Oct. 28th and UConn, the weekend of November 3rd. I am sure Mack and staff will do everything they can to convince Willkes to verbal before he leaves Campus and cancel the UConn Visit.
