Yearly Hopes and Fears!
It is great to see that all players have arrived and will start to reunite and meet the three new players. Every year we all are feeling angst and great hope. Last year was full of "firsts" at XU. XU averaged 80.5 points and 41 rebounds a game. Sumner, Bluiett, Davis, and Macura averaged 46 points between them and I suspect that will be a higher number this year. XU has to replace 21 of the 41 rebounds (Farr, Reynolds, Abell, Austin, and London) and that may be difficult. If O'Mara, Gaston and Gates can cover the 15 rebounds that Farr and Reynolds averaged it might work out. If O'Mara, Gaston, Gates, Jones, Ekiyor, and Goodin can average 34 between them we would be at the same number of Points and Rebounds as last year. 80 points and 41 rebounds wins a lot of games. That is a lot of "ifs" but it certainly seems possible. Go Xavier!

This season, baring injuries, we will make the Final Four. First time I have made this prediction in my 34 years of being a Xavier season ticket holder.

Hope you are right Commish. It should certainly be an interesting season. Can't wait for it to start.
