Chris did not realize he was leaving otherwise he would have done different and that is according to my reliable sources.
Hey hops, are our "sources" the same?

Definitely not a big loss. Some of the stuff on here is amusing. Folks, he is going to Chattanooga for a reason. Best of luck to him.

I would say as a long time X fan they have done a good job of developing bigs. I think Jason Love and Brandon Cole and James Farr where probably considered there best developed players not necessarily their most talented ones from the time they started to when they graduated. I think Anthony Miles and Andrew Taylor deserve honorable mention as well! Tyrone Hill and Brian Grant where already men when they got to X. I'm only 36 so I can't go back any further!

Jeff Robinson didn't really want to play like a big guy, TJ Johnson had a great Freshman Campaign but was too small to bang with the big guys in a better league. OBI Harris had his limitations and Kenny Frease ended well but like Duncan, Reynolds, and Doellman left us with the feeling it could have been so much more. In in truth O'Mara is developing well considering his a former high school football tackle!

The point I am making is if Mankinde had stuck it out he probably would have developed into a borderline NBA prospect. Playing at X gives guys national exposure that he will not receive at a Mid-Major, not a criticism just a fact. Also, Mack would have given him minutes early in the season over the newer guys to see if there was actual improvement. But, he also may have played against Gaston everyday in practice and seen the writing on the wall.... Go X
